Sax-a-fied (2009)




This album proved to be one of Eddie’s finest progressive pieces of work to date, in that he brought in a couple of horn players to be on this particular album. In other words, Eddie was adding a horn section to his original music along with sax and flute solos, which replaced the slide guitar.

He wanted to go more commercial in his song writing, thus the tunes, “Sensiby-ality,” and “Here In FLA.”

One cannot under-estimate this album and its contribution to dance-music experienced through his original funk-tune, “Fornication” spawned by politicians getting caught cheating on their wives.

Local talents Chad Conte and Koko Ray Hansen were the horn players on this particular work.

Although Eddie likes all of his albums, he insists this one to be his favorite work to date.

One should note that he was getting further involved with his girlfriend emotionally, thus spawned the original songs, “Somewhere In My Heart,” and “My Love For You.” Eddie wrote the last tune on the album, “Not Gonna Be” in 1972 when he was 18-years-of-age.

Other than the horns, Eddie once again wrote all the tunes and played all the instruments, and did all the vocals.
